Intermediate Practical Pistol

This class will take you to the next level. Class is offered once a quarter. This is a four hour class. Practical pistol shooting is both exciting and challenging, as well as being one of the fastest growing shooting sports in the United States. Courses of fire utilize many aspects not found in other disciplines:

• Movement by the shooter
• Drawing from the holster
• Multiple targets
• Reloads
• Shooting through and/or around barricades
• Shooting strong hand, weak hand, and freestyle (both hands)

Practical pistol allows the shooter freedom to solve the problems presented by the match design. The stages in practical pistol utilize a basis of application in the defensive use of a firearm. Practical pistol matches are based on the principles of accuracy, power and speed. The matches are varied, with new courses of fire for every stage. Participation in these matches will develop a high degree of proficiency in the use of the handgun, as well as providing a great means of recreation.
