You may cancel for a full refund if you are canceling more than 72 hours in advance of the class, or you may reschedule for a $10 fee between 72 and 24 hours in advance of the class. Classes are non-refundable within 24 hours of the class. The 72 hour window gives SGC the opportunity to contact customers that have been placed on a waitlist for the courses.

- Learn NRA policies and procedures
- Develop basic public speaking skills
- Learn the NRA training methodology
- Use a training team and training aids to organizing a course and build a budget
- Candidates will be provided with the appropriate lesson plans and basic course student packets
- Candidates take turns working in teams, actually conducting portions of the course to each other
Candidates must possess and demonstrate a solid background in firearm safety and shooting skills acquired through previous firearm training and/or previous shooting experience. Instructor candidates must be intimately familiar with each action type in the discipline they wish to be certified. Candidates must be able to shoot a 6” group from 45 feet, or better.
Candidates must register and complete the NRA Basic Pistol (Phase 1) On-line course from the NRA. The fee is $60 payable online to the NRA, and will take 6-7 hours to complete. The test must be passed with at least a 90% score. This must be completed at least 2 weeks prior to the NRA Pistol Instructor course date.
